I work extensively with divorced parents and families on co-parenting. My approach for co-parent counseling is to help co-parents sort through how to establish appropriate boundaries and effective communication in their co-parenting relationship and with their children, in order to be the best parents they can be for their children. Research shows that children can thrive after divorce if their parents are able to work together and support each other's relationship with the children.
I usually start with individual sessions with each co-parent to identify the issues and then we design the process from there to meet your needs.
I am also available to help couples in the process of separating or divorcing navigate the process with their children and develop a mutually agreeable parenting plan.
